Calling all Indie/Small Press Authors! Enter the 2018 Kindle Book Awards! #IndieAuthors #KindleBookAwards

Think your latest book has what it takes to win the 2018 Kindle Book Awards?

20170602_200129Hi there! Just another Indie Author here, sharing some awesome news! Although I am not closed off to hopes of eventually securing a traditional publishing deal, or even making enough sales to eventually attract a traditional publisher (aren’t we all?). It is probably my fiercely strong and stubborn independent nature that keeps me going the independent route more than anything, although like you, I like to think I am improving with each book I write. I have actually been editing like a mad woman on my latest project, and happened to find out about this, so here it is…

The Kindle Book Review, is celebrating their 7th annual Book Awards! With over $750 in cash and prizes to 9 category winners, and chances to win a 7″ Kindle Fire just for sharing the giveaway, what do you have to lose? And hey, you may win or you may not, but it’s a chance to get more exposure for your book, and who knows, you might just be surprised. You won’t know if you don’t try!

Registration started Feb. 1, 2018 and ends May 1, 2018, and there are ten categories, with lots of cash and prizes, and you can enter up to 2 books. Everything you need to know is on the website, so if you have a book (or two) that you would like to enter, or if you will be finished your final edits and think your book has potential, why not go ahead and give it a shot!

Thinking about writing a book but still on the fence? Here is a post I wrote just after New Year’s with some tips and resources that might help you get started:

Stumbling Stones or Stepping Stones: Is There a Book Stuck Inside You?

Believe it or not, I actually have 4 books I am currently editing (which should give you an idea of how badly I dread the edit/rewrite/edit/and rewrite it again stage), although I think if I crank things up and just quit dreading it and get it done, I just might have a chance, and I think you do too! I will say, however, two of those are actually a two book set, although when I get done with the rewrites suggested by my editor, it might just morph back into one book, or I may still leave it two books. But I have learned a lot that I didn’t know before. She is very affordable, as she is an author herself, so if you’re interested in her services for your latest book, visit her website and see what she has to offer. Here is the link:

Stacy Juba Books: Crossroads Editing Service

If you actually do go with her editing service, be sure and mention my name (Flossie Stewart), that way I get a discount on my next editing service with her! So, either way, I just thought I would get this out here and share, as sharing the giveaway also enters you for a chance to win that Kindle Fire. Who knows, maybe we will see each other in the “winners’ circle”. Besides, even if you don’t win, we are still winners anyway, just for trying! Once again, here is the link if you want to check it out, all the information you need is there!

A WORD TO THE WISE: If you’re not finished editing, don’t worry, we have until May 1, 2018, so don’t rush and then upload your book in a mad rush only to find that there are typos or mistakes that you have to fix, then re-upload it, as they WILL NOT accept updated files after it has already been submitted. So, get going, and let’s do this!

If you think you have a chance, or you know someone who is an Independent or Small Press author that just might have the next winning book, share this post via the buttons below, and help get the word out!

Good luck!
